Write a real note on a real note card from a package of William Morris Evening Garden Writer's Notecards. Go ahead and enclose a snapshot or a cartoon. The cards are beautiful: six cards feature violets, lilies, and other flowers against the dark background of the Blackthorn pattern, designed by John Henry Dearle and printed by Jeffrey & Co. as a wallpaper sample for Morris & Co. in 1892. Dearle also designed the pattern for the other six cards: the Golden Lily wallpaper pattern, 1880-1917. The originals of both are in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
