William Morris Evening Lily Gift Notes

London's Victoria and Albert Museum's extensive collection of Arts and Crafts patterns was the source for these lovely William Morris designs. 

An attractive box holds 16 die cut gift cards that reproduce a detail from John Henry Dearle's Golden Lily. (The original was published as a woodblock print wallpaper sample by Morris & Co. 1880-1917.) Eight cards show the pattern with a white background and have a pale green irregular grid pattern and two little pink tulips in the corner of the inside.

The other eight cards reproduce the pattern with a black background. The inside is a pink grid with little anemone flowers in the corner. Envelopes are a soothing mint green with a pink tulip icon in the lower left corner.
