Australian artist Nathan Ferlazzo shares his love of nature and wildlife through his intricate pen and ink illustrations.  Nathan aims to capture the imagination of people in a way that inspires them to support animal welfare and conservation.

The superb fairy-wren is one of Australia's most popular birds. They are widespread in south-eastern Australia where they usually live in family groups of up to 10.  Together, they cooperate to defend their territory and help at the nest, feeding and looking after the chicks.  Although still considered a common species, clearing shrubs from farmland and roadsides may cause local declines in their populations.
